This Privacy Policy applies to the BusTruckPark website (bustruckpark.com) and the mobile application BT Park ("Service").

2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use:
- The BusTruckPark website
- The BusTruckPark (BT Park) mobile application, including the version installed from Google Play
BT Park does not require registration or an account. We do not create user profiles and we do not sell personal data.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process personal data under the following legal bases:
- Consent – for access to your device location (GPS) and, on the website, for non-essential cookies
- Legitimate Interest – for security, operation of the Service, and answering messages you send us
- Legal Obligation – where required by applicable law
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Location Data (App)
BT Park accesses your device location (GPS) only if you grant permission. Your location is used to show your position on the map, to center the map on it, and to sort the Nearby list by distance.
- Location data is processed only on your device
- Your location is never sent to or stored on our servers
- You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; without it, the app still works, but cannot show your position or distances
4.2 Messages You Send Us
Contact form: when you send a message through the contact form in the app or on the website, we receive your name, email address and the message. This information is sent securely to our server and delivered to our support mailbox.
Suggest a new parking place / Report a problem: these functions open the email app on your phone with a prepared message (for example, the coordinates of the place you marked or the details of the parking place you are reporting). The message is sent from your own email account only if you choose to send it, and we then receive your email address and the content of the message.
We use this information only to reply to you and to improve the parking data. It is not shared with third parties and is not used for marketing. Messages are kept only as long as necessary to handle your request and any follow-up, and are deleted earlier at your request.
4.3 Data Stored Only on Your Device (App)
The app stores the following information only in the local storage of your device: saved places, language, appearance (light / dark), filters, the selected vehicle view, and the last map position. Parking data for the map areas you have viewed is also kept on your device so that it remains available offline.
This information is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.
4.4 Log Files (Website and App Servers)
Like most online services, our servers automatically record standard technical data:
- IP address
- Browser and device type
- Date and time of access
- Requested pages and files (on the app servers this includes map tiles and parking data for the map area being viewed)
This data is used for security, abuse prevention and system maintenance. It is not used to identify individual users.
4.5 Cookies
App: BT Park does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not display ads.
Website: the website uses essential cookies required for its operation. Where advertising is enabled (see section 5), Google may use advertising cookies. Where required by law, non-essential cookies are used only after you have given your consent.
5. Advertising
The BT Park app currently does not display any advertisements. If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before ads are introduced.
The website may display ads provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service uses or links to the following third-party services:
- OpenStreetMap – map data (© OpenStreetMap contributors); the maps are delivered from our own map servers
- GitHub Pages – background relief imagery shown when the map is zoomed far out
- Google Maps, Waze or another navigation app of your choice – when you tap Navigate, the coordinates of the selected destination are passed to the navigation app you choose
- Your email app and the share function of your phone – only when you choose to send a message or share a place
- Google Play – app distribution and the link to the GeoSwiftSOS app
- Google AdSense – advertising on the website
These services operate independently and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
7. Data Retention
- Server log data (such as IP addresses and timestamps) is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- Messages you send us are kept only as long as necessary to handle your request (see section 4.2).
- Data on your device stays on your device until you delete it (see section 4.3).
We do not maintain permanent user profiles.
8. Data Security
All data between the app or website and our servers is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing
- Data portability
To exercise your rights, contact us at support@bustruckpark.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Croatia this is the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr).
10. Children's Information
BusTruckPark is intended for professional drivers and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
